First Responder & Security Ministry Leader
The First Responders & Security Ministry seeks to accommodate the emergency and security needs of those serving, attending, or participating in church activities. This team serves as representatives of the church and share responsibility for the safety and security of the congregation. As the first line of protection they identify actions and/or situations that need attention, to insure the safety / security of the attendees.
Areas of Responsibility:
Medical:

Coordinate the medical emergency procedures and insure that first-aid supplies are available for instant use. Identify / schedule qualified persons to respond when medical intervention is necessitated.

Assistance to EMS when this service has been requested

Schedule educational courses, i.e. CPR and first aid classes, etc.
Security:

The security team is to observe and assess people and the environment continuously and purposefully. They make a reasonable evaluation of any suspicious person or situation and the potential for disruption or harm. They follow a measured response to insure safety and security.

The security team is responsible for the recruitment, qualification, selection, training, scheduling of individuals; the development of security policies; and the ongoing review of our facilities to provide the safest environment for adults and children.

Assist fire and police (as needed and/or requested) whenever first responders have been called.

Implement fire, weather or threat emergency plans.

Coordinate background checks of volunteers in our children’s / youth / security ministry areas.
