Children's Ministry Leader

The Children's Ministry focuses on the young people in developing spiritual growth through fellowship, Bible studies, and other activities to help them become maturing followers of Christ

Areas of Responsibility:

​Adult Sponsor / Teaching Development:

  • Christ-like adult sponsors are the key to the youth ministry programs.

Nursery (ages 0-2):

  • Coordinate a staff to provide excellent care for each child up to 36 months of age during all services and special events. This includes teaching Biblical lessons to those capable of understanding. Also, coordinate the nursery facilities, policies, activities, and supplies.

Jesus' Farm (ages 3-Kindergarten):

  • Coordinate / oversee the children’s worship experiences offered during the Adult Assembly. Provides children the opportunity to worship God on a level that they understand and enjoy. Designed for ages three through grade 3 and incorporates all the elements of worship: singing, communion, offering, prayer, and a lesson / sermon.

  • Provide regularly scheduled fellowship activities for the age group.

  • Record keeping.

rEVOLve (grades 1st-5th):

  • Children grade one through five have classes designed specifically to meet their needs for fellowship and education. Coordinate the program and guidelines with respect to teacher training and qualification, curriculum, meeting times / places, fellowship, shepherding, classroom management, record keeping, new class development, and ongoing evaluation.

Sunday School (Nursery-5th Grade):

  • Coordinate the program and guidelines for the educational studies with respect to teacher training and qualification, curriculum, meeting times and places, fellowship, shepherding, classroom management, record keeping, new class development, and ongoing evaluation. This also includes establishing age appropriate instruction, disciplinary policies, and parental support mechanisms and record keeping.

Major Programs / Activities:

  • Round Lake Christian Assembly in Lakeville, Ohio offers a variety of camps and outings for youth entering first grade through senior high.

  • Vacation Bible School (VBS) is an example of activities where God's people can invite their friends and families to "come and see" Ripley.

  • Various fellowship opportunities for each age group with a purpose -- to build meaningful relationships with Jesus Christ and one another. All youth activities are to be coordinated though the Children’s Ministry.
